Melkbaai beach

Melkbaai is safe for swimming. The water is shallow for a long way out, so it is safe for children. There is also a tidal pool. Lifeguards are on duty during peak times. Hobycats and surf ski paddles launch from this beach. Kitesurfing is good here. The area that surfers call”Pipe” is at the Westend of the beach near the river. The beach is great for long relaxing walks. There is ample parking, and ablution facilities are available.
