Lang Elsie’s Kraal Rest Camp

Lang Elsies kraal is a camping site within The Bontebok national park along the Breede River. Lang Elsie was a Hessequa Khoekhoe chief who lived in the area from 1734 to 1800. A reconstructed version of the hut she lived in was constructed here. The remains of a stone house she lived in can also be visited at the National Park.  Lang Elsie’s Kraal rest camp is in the area where she settled and lived with her tribe.  There are 10 chalets available at Lang Elsie’s Kraal rest camp 41 campsites, some of which have power points. There are plenty of spots to set up a picnic and there are good fishing opportunities along the river.
