Restaurant and bakery in Kalk Bay
Built in 1906, this popular eatery was the Kalk Bay Residential Hotel. Today, the Olympia Café is well known for its coffee. The blackboard menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner specials changes daily. The bakery is around the corner. The Kalk Bay Modern Art Gallery is on the first floor of this building.
 In days gone by the bakery used to be a bioscope (movie house) called Leslie’s Picture Palace. The building was known as Harbour Mansions and included Leslie’s Private Hotel. It was a popular venue until the interior was burnt out in 1968 The venue later was a club and disco. The offices on the top floor of the building were once a brothel.
