The Josephine Mill
Old working mill in Claremont
Cape Town’s only surviving watermill was built in 1818. The Josephine Mill was operational during the mid-1800s. Complete with an iron waterwheel it supplies the local community with freshly milled, stone-ground flour and wheat which is sold in reusable hemp sacks. The shop also supplies a range of freshly baked bread, homemade jams, and condiments. The restaurant is renowned for its award-winning fresh fare and its Cape wine cellar.
