This reserve lies in the Succulent Karoo, a desert biome with a great diversity of succulents. Fantastic bird, reptile, mammal, and insect life. Fossils and unique rock art are to be seen here. There is a great variety of smaller creatures, ranging from rodents, dassies, porcupines, honey badgers, Cape foxes, caracal plus of course aardwolf and aardvark. Antelope species found here are red hartebeest, kudu, springbok, duiker and steenbok.
