Bergwater Winery vineyards are farmed in harmony with nature to minimize all impacts on the natural environment. Only 70ha of the 3000ha were replanted in 1999. At an altitude of 700 – 900m above sea level. We have an average annual rainfall of only 200mm. Vineyards are therefore irrigated with quality spring mountain water and together with the different types of soils and slopes, wines of exceptional quality and character are ensured.
