Buffels baai, Beach
Buffelsbaai found in the Goukamma Nature Reserve near Knysna. The beach is 14 kilometres long. This vast beach has stunning white sand dunes contrasting with the beautiful blue ocean waters and is backed by coastal forest.
The beach has plenty of activities such as fishing, surfing, or boating on offer which makes it a favourite with tourists and locals alike. As Buffelsbaai is a resort town, you’ll find everything you may need. You can relax in the shallow calm waters. This beach has blue flag status. After a day on the beach, you can visit any of the several restaurants and cafes.
Buffels baai, has it all, waves for surfing, rock pools for swimming, and visitors can bodyboard, or kitesurf. The views are beautiful, and it is considered to be one of the safest beaches in South Africa.
Braai spots are available on the beaches as well as in grassy picnic areas. Baboons can also be found roaming about so look out for your food. Bring your own grid and wood and be vigilant with your fire.
