Cape Seal Lighthouse

Cape Seal Lighthouse is difficult to access. From the Robberg Nature Reserve parking area, you need to hike a reasonably difficult 5 km plus a scramble through thick bush. The maintenance crew is transported to the lighthouse by helicopter. The lighthouse was first established in 1950, it is a 6 metre tall triangular skeletal tower that has been painted white. It flashes white twice every 30 seconds and is seen for 15 nautical miles.
