Cape Town Gem and Mineral Club is also known as the Mineralogical Society of Southern Africa. It is a great place for enthusiasts of mineralogy, geology, and lapidary crafts. Field trips are arranged occasionally. These may take members out crystal hunting, studying local granites, or investigating the pegmatites of the Northern Cape.
There is hold an open day held on the first Saturday of every month (except in January) 10:00 am to 14:00pm at their clubhouse.
