Citrusdal Golf Club
Golf club in orange country
Citrusdal Golf Club has a nine-hole course situated in the beautiful fruit-growing town. It’s quite flat and a relatively easy one to play for most players. The course was conceived when in 1960 a group of 15 local men decided to build a golf course at the common ground known locally as the “Koeikamp.”The men worked hard and succeeded in building a 4-hole course, but the upkeep proved too much and it ran into disrepair. In 1975 the “Koeikamp” golf area was renovated and 9 holes were completed.
Currently, Citrusdal Golf Club is 5264 metres of parkland with a par of 70 and is one of the best 9-hole golf courses in the Western Cape. It is on the banks of the Olifants River and is very level with magnificent views of the majestic Cederberg Mountains.
