Dana Bay
Dana Bay is a beach in Mossel Bay, however, the whole area is a conservancy area set up in the Cape Floral Kingdom, home to fine examples of coastal and limestone varieties of fynbos. Because Dana Bay is a conservancy, bushbuck, steenbok, mongooses, and Cape francolins roam freely; The prolific bird life, includes a colony of black oystercatchers and over 85 other bird species, The white sandy Dana Bay beach here stretches for miles and is largely undisturbed.
Swimming at Dana Bay is not safe due to the strong sea currents.
. Dana Bay also boasts easy access to restaurants, museums, harbours, yachting facilities, water sports, and eco-adventure opportunities.
There is a cliff-walk hiking trail known as the St Blaize hiking trail. It is an easy 13.5-kilometre walk along seaside cliffs and through sections of fynbos—you can hike a part of this trail or do the walk in its entirety. You can also see whales here during the season.
Dogs may be walked only between First and Second beaches
