Education Museum

This Museum was established in 1989 to mark the 150^th, anniversary of the Western Cape Education Department (WCED). Another reason was the technological revolution that has altered education to the core. Education is different to what it was even twenty years ago. Also, society has become conservation conscious. The relics and records of the teaching profession’s service to the community needed to be scientifically collected, stored and used for future education.
