Elgin apple Museum
Museum in Grabouw
The Elgin Apple Museum shows us the history of the apple industry in South Africa. The museum shows progress from the earliest basic methods to the latest technology. The museum is housed in one of the oldest buildings in Grabouw along the Palmiet River. The building was a shoemaker’s cottage dating back 100 years. This is one of only two Apple museums in the world. Within the complex is a restaurant and several farm stalls with a variety of fruit, vegetables, homemade products, and crafts for sale.
