The Peace And Medicinal Garden was started by the late Ann Suuto in 1988.It has been run by Friends of the Franschhoek Indigenous Medicinal and Herb Garden, supported by the Botanical society. The region was well-used by indigenous people of the San and Khoekhoe groups. “Some of the plants they used for medicine are represented in this garden. A tour of the garden will enable you to feel, touch and taste the different natural herbs and learn about their uses. There is an Information Centre on indigenous medicines. Assorted herbs and remedies are available to purchase.
