Hawston beach
Safe swimming in Hawston
This immaculate beach is flanked by dunes and coastal mountains. It has blue flag status and is safe for swimming surfing and stand-up paddling, and body-boarding. Lifeguards are permanently on duty during peak season, between December and March, This beach is not often crowded and is great for birdwatching and whale and dolphin spotting. There are braai facilities, picnic areas a restaurant, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. There are interpretive boards with interesting information about the vegetation and wildlife in the area.
