The Highgate Ostrich Show Farm is located 10 kilometres south of Oudtshoorn. This large farm specializes in the breeding of ostriches. It is open to visitors to provide specialized information about the various stages of the bird’s development. Visitors can see young offspring and an ostrich pen. Whilst the tour mainly focuses on the development of the ostrich, tourism is an important source of income and it keeps the farm running.
