Some Hikes in Stilbaai
West River Bank HikingTrail
This trail along the western shore of the Goukou River is roughly 2km each way and is a fairly Flat, the route is paved most of the way. There are great birdwatching opportunities.

Geelkrans Nature Reserve
Self issue permits are available at the gate. This trail takes Approximately 3 hours. loops towards the east and returns via the coast. The trail is fairly challenging, and unfortunately not very well marked.

The Alikreukel trail
This guided trail is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty and cultural treasures of the coastal area around Blombos, Jongensfontein and Stilbaai.
This is a four-day slackpacking trail, where hikers only carry the basic items for the day and overnight in very comfortable accommodation, with all meals included. One of the days is spent around Stilbaai, Seeing the museum visiting an olive farm and travelling by canoe up the Goukou River.
The trail passes the famous The Blombos Cave, where people lived more than 70,000 years ago, Hikers will be able to see the fish traps that the Khoikhoi people built more than 2000 years ago.
Southern Right Trail
This coastal trail between Stilbaai and Jongensfontein starts from Morris Point and ends at the caravan park in Jongensfontein. The trail must be done at low tide. It passes beautiful rock pools where you can swim and cool off. There are birds and small animals to be seen in the fynbos along the way
Approximately 11km. It is suggested that you leave a car at the finishing end for your return.
