Jack Muller park

Public park in Bellville

The Jack Muller Park is also known as Danie Uys Park. The park forms part of an important, concentrated, green node along the Elsieskraal River corridor.

It’s named after Daniel Uys Mayor of Bellville from 1975 to 1977 and from 1983 to 1985 and Jack Muller a Councillor for Bellville Municipality. Formerly, the area was two adjacent, but separate parks. The municipality has set aside the park for its residents. There are many indigenous plants and trees selected by Prof Kristo Pienaar a botanist and prevouis a mayor of Bellville.

Several outdoor events are hosted at the park. These include corporate functions, children’s parties, fundraising, and concerts. The green lawns make it a popular place for running. There is also an amphitheatre, an outdoor gym area, plus picnic and braai facilities.

City Parks along with the Friends of the Jack Muller Park, Greater Tygerberg Partnership, Boston Spirits, surrounding schools, and community organizations work to maintain and improve the garden.

It is open from sunrise to sunset. and entrance is free
