Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden

The Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden is a unique garden that is the only truly succulent garden in  Africa,  with one of the largest collections of indigenous succulents in South Africa. There are organized tours, a maze, a shale trail, and a well-stocked nursery. There is a route that is accessible for the disabled. The braille trail features specimens that have a fragrance or interesting textures. Visitors are welcome to touch the plants which are in raised beds that are easy to reach. The trail is signposted in braille but there is also an audio guide.
