The Khayelitsha Canoe Club began in 2013 and is the first club of its kind in the township. The club began with just two canoes but has grown rapidly since then. The club aims to educate the youth about paddling. The club is very popular among children. Boat rides are also offered to visitors who want to join in the fun.
