Racing at Killarney Raceway began in the 1940s. The circuit was designed by Edgar Hoal, a leading racing driver and roads engineer, who also supervised its construction. The first Cape Grand Prix was held at Killarney on 17 December 1960. Since then the complex has grown to include every facet of circuit motorsport including motocross, karting, super motards, stock car, drag racing and European Truck Racing as a one-off event.
Most Wednesdays and on the weekend, Killarney Race Track hosts a range of racing events. There is robot racing, drag racing, and MotoX.
They typically have weekly events and ticket costs vary per event for most events, children under 12 get in free.
