The Round House
Heritage site in Camps Bay
Lord Charles Somerset used the area around Camp’s Bay for hunting and used the Roundhouse as his lodge. It was built in 1848. Originally a completely round structure. There was a time that it was a hotel, it burned down in 1860 and again in1923. It has been fully restored and today it is an exclusive restaurant. There is a tour of the building which is a national monument, the tour includes stories of the area and the original occupants.
