Beach in Plettenberg Bay
This beach is about a kilometre from Plettenberg Bay town centre. It is a great all-around beach with something for everyone.
The clean white sand is wide so there is space to avoid a feeling of being crowded. Although season (Christmas time gets quite busy). The warm Indian Ocean waters of Lookout Beach make swimming and water sport really enjoyable.
The beach has Blue Flag status for its water quality. It is popular with surfers for consistent waves. Many kite-surfers and stand-up paddleboarders head for Lookout beach.
Humpback, southern right, and sometimes even killer whales have been seen in the waters off the beach in the later months of the year, Dolphins can be seen from the beach throughout the year.
