Misty Cliffs
Misty Cliffs Beach is small, tucked between Scarborough and Witsand on the Atlantic side this 400-metre beach is private and tranquil and nice for short walks.
It is nestled between two cliff faces and squeezed between the mountain and the Atlantic Ocean within the Table Mountain National Park.
The whole area is a conservation area. Misty Cliffs is known as a Conservation Village The cliffs overlook a wild sea. During winter when it is wet and windy it really lives up to the name. There are also beautiful windless days when this beach is quite popular but nothing like some of the other fashionable beaches on the Cape Town coast. The little village here consists mainly of small holiday homes. There are no facilities, shops, or restaurants. Swimming is dangerous and not recommended but surfing is very popular due to the big swells. Kiteboarding is only recommended for experienced riders as this coastline can be brutal.
