Beach off the Cape flats in Mitchells Plain
Mnandi Beach is a lovely Blue Flag beach on the False Bay coastline, It is frequented mostly by locals from Strandfontein and Khayelitsha. Situated in Mitchell’s Plain, this 5km beach can be windy. The currents are quite treacherous. There are demarcated swimming areas with lifeguards on duty during the season. There is good fishing here and the beach is great for long walks. During the winter months, you can view whales and seals from your car in the ample parking area. There is a recreational space with water slides and a swimming pool with other facilities such as picnic spots and a tuck shop.
Dogs are allowed before 9.00 am and after 6.00 pm between November and April
