Monwabisi Tidal Pool

Monwabisi’ is an isiXhosa word meaning ‘bringing joy’,  There is an enormous pool which is the biggest tidal pool in the Southern Hemisphere. It is part of the popular Monwabisi resort,  there are many picnic and braai sites close by, set out on the terraced lawn, also camping facilities and chalets are available as holiday accommodation. The beach is sheltered from the wind by towering limestone cliffs, and the  tidal pool is a safe and wind-free place to cool off.
