Small museum in Franschoek
This small museum showcases the history of mankind. The era of slavery in this part of the world is covered through songs, recordings made by Khoisan people, and chronicled histories of some slaves’ descendants. Information boards explain the exhibits. There are archaeological sites nearby. Another small museum on the premises is dedicated to Music van de Caab, it has a collection of local musical instruments and displays research about the development of local music.
Entrance is free but there is a small cost for a guided tour.
