Bistro in Paternoster
Die Winkel op Paternoster is housed in an old shark-liver-oil factory building, dating back to 1923. It was first turned into a West Coast country store in the 1980s by the inimitable Hedwig Slabig.
Today it is still part farmstall, part country store, bakery, and bistro, stocking anything from rustic bread and homemade sweet treats to traditional jams, pickles, natural West Coast sea salt, enamelware, and velskoene.
