Oude Molen Eco Village is a unique rural destination in the heart of Cape Town. It provides an ideal entertaining place to visit. The Oude Molen Eco Village was initiated in 1997 when it was transformed from an abandoned and vandalised hospital complex into a micro-enterprise village.
he Village currently hosts 42 small businesses and enterprises from backpacker accommodations to music studios, equestrian activities, frail care services, metal, wood, art and craft workshops, a public pool, and braai facilities. There is some urban agriculture, a restaurant, and a school.
