The Darling Museum was founded in 1978 as a butter museum. It has grown to encompass all aspects of village life in Darling since its early beginnings in 1853.
Darling Mystery Trail
The Darling Mystery Trail is an immersive adventure for the whole family or a group of friends. the game combines geocaching and a treasure hunt which takes visitors through Darling. Get a map at the museum, stroll through the village, solve the riddles and find treasure. You can use your phone with QR-code reader and compass. The walk takes about 2 hrs.
Ouma’s Treasures
Ouma’s Treasures is the Darling Museum’s fundraising shop that profits from the sale of goods. Funds raised go towards the upkeep of the museum.
the shop is a trove of kitchen collectables, bric-a-brac and nostalgic finds from granny’s attic. It also stocks home-produced goods such as jams, preserves, farm butter, lemon squash, toffee and fudge plus local crafts & products
