SA Airforce Museum

This is South Africa’s second-largest military aviation museum. This  Museum in Ysterplaat displays a collection of aircraft that covers the time of the existence of the SAAF, its operational activities also military and civil aviation in the Cape. There are displays showing aircraft, weapons, engines, and uniforms and smaller displays of Royal Flying Corps memorabilia. There is a fascinating recording of the history of aviation in South Africa, also collected original records and articles of historical significance which are on display alongside the aircraft.

All visitors must have their Identity Documents with them in order to visit the Museum as it is located on an active Airforce Base
