Platbos is an indigenous forest, it is one of the few surviving in South Africa. In this forest on the slopes of Bavianskloof hills, you will find ancient trees, some over 1000 years old These are mostly milkwood, wild stinkwood, and wild peach. You can go hiking solo or with a guide (you will need book beforehand)
Accommodation is available here in eco-friendly off-grid units. The huts are serviced with river and dam water and have composting toilet systems
