Garden Route Game Lodge
Conveniently located on the Garden Route this malaria-free game reserve is a logical safari choice for any Garden Route itinerary. Sightings of the BIG 5 are frequent and visitors spending one or two nights will usually see at least 4 of the BIG 5 during their stay. Herds of zebra, wildebeest, springbok, eland, impala, and other antelope species are abundant. The region boasts a mild climate with hot sunshine.
The star attraction has to be the elephants. Feeding the elephants takes place in a secure area with game rangers on hand the game ranger will share interesting facts and amazing information about them. There is nothing quite like an enormous elephant eating from your hand filled with pellets. These animals despite their size are so gentle. You can also have your picture taken with them.
