Craft Beer in Stanford
Founded in 1998, the Birkenhead Brewery started as one of the first craft breweries in South Africa. Initially, based on the story of the sinking of the Birkenhead Ship along our coastline, our beers are inspired by the ferocious power of South African landscapes and the charismatic characters that are found here. We now produce five different craft brews with additional special brews as and when inspiration strikes. All of our beers are filtered and pasteurised, with a 9-month shelf life.
