Spring Tide Ghost

Just outside Kalk Bay is a building called Spring Tide. There is a name on the door. This door has not been opened for years. There are legends that have surrounded the property concerning buyers just quitting the place. Tenants move in and do not even stay the night. Even homeless vagrants avoid the building.

There was a time during the 90s when the house was rented to a crèche. the story goes that one day during rest time the teacher heard a loud shriek followed by the children’s crying. One of the children described a woman who came down the stairs and let out a blood-curdling scream. Of course, the crèche did not stay. The story came out about a love triangle where a woman came upon her lover who had been murdered by her husband after he discovered the affair. The discovery is said to be what caused the woman to scream as the children reported. There has been work done on the exterior but whether the ghost is still there remains to be seen.
