Mountain bike trailsSuurbraak was originally called the San word ‘Xairu’ which means meaning beautiful or paradise. It is a great place to ride.
There are two routes in Suurbraak, one(Green route) explores the mountain, and the other(blue route follows the streets in the village before passing through surrounding farms. Both routes involve a lot of uphill inclines. Some riders may not manage all the ridges and may have to walk and pushbike. The trails are rough and ready and do not expect neat roadsThe routes both begin and end at The old mission church in Roussouwplein street. Permits are available from Paradise organic just a short way from the start of the trail. You can purchase a day permit or a year permit which is cost-effective as it includes the Suurbraak trails and Grootvaderbosch ones as well.The trails begin at the old Mission Church – 1 Rossouwplein Street.
