The Doring River
The Doring River is also called the Thoern River and it is part of the Olifants/Doring River system. This name is also applied to part of the Sout River, also known as Zout River tributary of the Olifants which is about midway through the river’s course and is an intermittent stream. The Doring River originates just northeast of Ceres where it joins the Olifants River near the town of Klawer. Here it becomes the Oudrif River after the confluence with the Koebee River. Tributaries of this river include the Tankwa River, Riet River, Wolf River, and Brandewyn River.
