The Groot River Bridge

The Groot River is in the southern area of the Cape. It is a right-hand tributary of the Gourits River. The Bridge built in 1983 is a concrete deck/arch bridge 172 metres high with a span of 189 metres. It was designed by Jeffares & Green along with Maunsell & Partners. The bridge is similar in design to the bridge over the Bobejaans River 3.2 km away
