The Sevilla Rock Art Trail
. .
The 5 km Sevilla rock art trail winds along the Brannewyn River and visits 9 sites of rock art paintings, left behind by the San people. The San inhabited the area for thousands of years. On the Sevilla Rock Art Trail, you will see some of the finest examples of rock art in the district and will gain some insight into the world of these early inhabitants.
The trail is relatively easy. The vistas are inspiring and in spring the wildflowers are spectacular. There is a good chance you will see Springbok and Eland. and you will see a fabulous array of indigenous plant species and birds.
An information booklet about each of the nine sites can be fetched from the Travellers Rest Farm stall. You do require a permit which you can get at the farm stall. There is also accommodation available here
