Wreck off the coast at Cape Point
The MFV Trawler Princess Elizabeth was Built in 1961 and was sold to I&J in 1969. She was a sturdy wooden fishing boat almost 42 meters long and nearly 9 meters across, she carried a crew of twenty. After working for years trawling the coast she was damaged beyond repair due to an engine room fire. In 1983 she was scuttled and added to the artificial reef. The wreck is covered with purple, red, and white soft corals and heavily encrusted with Hydroids, sea cucumbers, Sea squirts, and Tube worms.
