Tsaarsbank beach
Tsaarsbank Beach is within the West Coast National Park. The park is known for its raw, rugged beaches and spectacular untouched landscapes. The water is quite cold so brave swimmers only. Between August and October, you will be able to see whales pass the shores here. These are mostly southern right and humpback whales, but may occasionally include killer whales too. Other activities here include hiking, biking, and bird-watching There is an entrance fee for the reserve. It is recommended that you get there early, as there is often a queue to get in. Tsaarsbank has braai facilities with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.
There is a three-kilometre walk to get to the wreck of the Pantalis A Lemos, which ran aground in 1978.
