Windmill Beach
Beach in Simon's Town
Windmill Beach is tucked behind The Simon’s Town Country Club and golf course. Like Boulders Beach, it’s surrounded by large granite outcrops, which help to serve as a windbreak. The water is calm and flat so paddling and swimming are safe for children. Snorkelling further out. Dogs are allowed to run free on the sand although leashes are required on the pathways. The beach is often used for scuba diving training because of the accessible entry and exit points, good visibility of the kelp forest’s underwater life and minimal currents.
