Witte River
The Witte River runs through the Bainskloof Pass in the Worcester area, past the Huguenot Tunnel. It’s part of the Limietberg Nature Reserve and has pristine camping spots, hiking trails and natural swimming pools. Day visitors are welcome, though spending the night is advised. Wildlife is abundant, including dassies, klipspringers, baboons, and a wide range of birdlife including black eagles, and the occasional leopard so dogs are not allowed. There is a cost to enter the reserve and a limit on numbers so arrive early.
Tweede Tol is a campsite on the beautiful Bainskloof Pass popular for its access to swimming holes in the Witte River To access the nearby Wolwekloof River’s swimming spots, you’ll need to stay overnight..
